Pickle 4 Paws
Pickle 4 Paws is our Wichita community clubhouse: a climate-controlled indoor pickleball court, a gathering place, and the first home of our Community Clubhouse vision. Every rally, membership, birthday party, and Joy Drop helps save a life at the Little Wichita Barn next door.
Why a rescue built a clubhouse
A shelter should not be a place people think about only when something has gone wrong.
Most people meet a rescue on its hardest day: a surrender, a stray, an emergency appeal. We wanted a front door that opens on a good day instead. Pickle 4 Paws brings people together through the joy of play, and because it shares a building with our Little Wichita Barn, the animals are part of the experience from the first visit.
Someone might arrive because a friend invited them to play. They might meet an adoptable dog serving as Coworker of the Day, learn about fostering, discover a volunteer opportunity, or sponsor a Joy Drop for a cat they just met. They do not have to arrive already knowing how to help. The Clubhouse creates more ways to begin.
Every dollar the facility earns supports Always & Furever directly. Play. Rescue. Repeat.

More than a sports facility
Court time and memberships
One premium, climate-controlled indoor court for players of every level, year-round. Memberships, open play, and court bookings all fund rescue.

Members are encouraged to bring their pups for play days and tournaments, and shelter dogs join the fun as Coworker of the Day. Stone, Marvin, Dr. Seuss, Fluffernutter, and Priscilla have all clocked in.
Joy Drops
Sponsor an enrichment experience for one specific dog or cat: a treat puzzle, a special outing, a sunny-window bed. Rowdy’s demo shows how much a small joy can mean while an animal waits.
Events and celebrations
Birthday parties, corporate volunteer days, charity tournaments, league nights, yoga on the court, and donor experiences, all with a cause behind them.
Adoption outreach and education
Meet-and-greets, foster information, and education programs that help people understand what the rescue is trying to change.
Community partnerships
Local organizations, schools, and businesses use the space to gather people around kindness and shared purpose.
The Community Clubhouse vision
Starting in Wichita
Our Community Clubhouse vision begins here, broadening the Pickle 4 Paws space into a gathering place connected to the rescue mission. The courts remain part of it, but recreation is not the whole purpose. The developing program includes community events, education, volunteer engagement, corporate volunteer opportunities, birthday parties, donor experiences, adoption outreach, fundraising, and partnerships with local organizations.
The role is practical as well as personal: clubhouse programs generate support for animal care, enrichment, medical needs, and future placements while creating positive experiences for animals and connecting new supporters to the work.
