Animal Care
Whether taking dogs on walks or cleaning up poop— it’s all a part of our average volunteer experience! If you want to get up close and personal with our rescues, this is your chance to make a difference while giving and receiving love.
Depending on which location you volunteer at, you may end up working with animals with a variety of needs. Some pets may need special attention due to their age, health conditions, behavior, and/or trauma from their pre-rescue life. We encourage all our volunteers to spend some time with these pets to show them a little love.
Rescue Work
Whether it’s helping us find potential rescues or driving to pick them up yourself, we recommend these volunteer tasks for those who want to help vulnerable animals at the beginning of their rehabilitation journey. While you don’t need a car for many of these duties, you’ll need transportation to help us with freedom rides, if that is the job you’re interested in.
If you prefer remote positions, you can also join our application team. These volunteers carry out our home and vet checks, ensuring every animal we rescue gets the care they deserve from their new furever home.
Vet Transportation
If you have a car that can fit our furry friends, we would appreciate it if you could help us get them to and from their vet visits. Many of our animals require ongoing medical care, which can make it hard for us to keep up with appointments.
By transporting pets back and forth, you take that extra burden off our staff’s shoulders. This allows us to focus on the pets back at each location , ensuring they get the attention they need while their fellow rescues are out getting their necessary medical care.
Fostering
Giving a pet a home, even temporarily, is one of the best gifts you can give a rescue animal. We have many dogs and cats eligible for our foster programs and desperately waiting for a home.
No need to worry about food or other necessities. So long as you provide a place where that foster animal feels safe and loved, we’ll cover the costs of supplies.
Donations
Even if you don’t have the time to volunteer at our locations, you can still support us by donating. Since we’re a non-profit, everything you send to us goes directly to our rescue animals.
On top of acquiring food, care supplies, and toys, we use your donations to pay the bills at each of our locations. We also put this money toward veterinary visits and medical procedures.
Events
No matter which location you’re closest to, we host plenty of events you can take part in or help us spread awareness for. This could include taking our rescue animals out on the town, visiting senior living facilities, setting up off-site adoption opportunities, and more!
