Pet Fostering in Kansas City

This organization is the absolute best! They go above and beyond and work tirelessly to help these animals in need. There are way more animals needing rescued than there are people and resources. We had a pleasant experience while we were searching for the right dog to foster. They did a thorough job checking our home, references and past vet. We ended up adopting the dog we were fostering and will forever be grateful to them for her. You won’t find a better rescue with more caring staff.

We adopted our Newman in May 2021 from Always and Furever. I had followed their page for a while and was touched how they work to find every animal that comes into their care, a home. We lost our Newman in November 2024, and we're actively meeting current dogs in their care for a new buddy for the dog we have. They ask a lot of questions to make the best match possible for us, our dog plus our future dog. They truly want the best home possible for all animals in their care.

Always and Forever is top tier when it comes to rescue!! I have been volunteering since I lost my job in March. I needed something to lift my spirits and this place is pure bliss. I love the hotel sleepover program. Its an all paid for staycay with all the bestest doggy snuggles, literally the best!

This amazing rescue saves dogs, cats, and people every day. They help animals that others have hurt or abandoned. Operating solely on donations, their mission is supported worldwide. I traveled from Delaware to adopt a very special senior pup - Sally Sue - and am grateful daily for being a member of this wonderful rescue family.

I have been a foster for A&F as well as adopted my sweet dog from them. I can honestly say the adoption process was seamless. They perform a background check on the potential adopter and I believe other adults in the home as well as do a home visit, either in person or virtually. That made me feel like they truly do want the best for the animals in their care. Their employees and volunteers go above and beyond in so many aspects of their treatment of the people interested in adopting as well as the care for the animals. They charge no adoption fees but simply run their rescue on donations. A&F not only rescues dogs and cats, but they advocate for animals not even in their care. They have gone to bat for the treatment of the animals in the Wichita Animal Shelter as well as several other shelters. Always & Furever only wants the best for all dogs and cats. I cannot thank this wonderful sanctuary enough! These people make an incredible difference in animals lives that they save from all over the area. Most of the dogs/cats are in terrible shape but they don’t look away. They see the beauty in each soul and know they are worth it. I was lucky enough to hospice foster a few wonderful dogs from them over the years. Every penny is used for the well-being on these animals no doubt!

This animal rescue is amazing! The love and care they have for animals is the gold standard. The people at this rescue have the animals best interest at heart and always do what they can to help animals survive. This rescue works with people to get the best possible outcome for everyone. I adopted a puppy one year ago from this rescue. As time went on, I discovered that the puppy was not a good fit for me. A&F provided so much support to me with training but I was physically overwhelmed. I continued to foster the sweet baby until the right home was found. The staff and trainers were wonderful. They will ALWAYS do what is in the best interests of the animals. I continue to support them wholeheartedly.

I have adopted 3 dogs from this rescue. Always and Furever always puts the animals' welfare first and foremost. For them it's never about money and financial gain but is always about what's in the best interest for the cats and dogs they rescue. They are the best animal rescue and sanctuary around!
