Hi, I’m Beth, and I’ve been involved with Always & Furever Midwest Animal Sanctuary in one way or another since late 2019.
I started as a volunteer dog walker, and I’ve been moving full speed ahead ever since.
I’ve always been a caretaker and someone who roots for the “underdog”—both people and animals alike—so Always & Furever seemed like the natural place for me to land. Over the past seven years I’ve witnessed plenty of heartbreak but have seen even more healing and miracles.
One of the things I’ve loved most during this time is watching Always & Furever grow in such a beautiful trajectory. We’re not just caring for the animals within our walls—we’re also showing up for our community and truly “loving our neighbors.”
It’s been incredible to witness what can happen when kindness, love, patience, hope, and faith come together. None of us embody all five qualities at every moment, but together, we bring each of them to the work we do.
