Now we want to bring that same neighbor-helping-neighbor model home to Raytown. Most pets do not lose their homes because they are unloved. They lose them because a caring family hits a veterinary crisis at a moment they simply cannot manage — a broken leg, an infection, a needed surgery, or even routine vaccines. Community Care steps in before a hard moment becomes a goodbye. Raytown residents complete a short application taking under three minutes. Eligibility is simple: a confirmed Raytown resident who owns or cares for the pet. Applications are open from the 1st–20th. Recipients are selected through a fair, random drawing. No favoritism, and no donation is ever required. Selected pets are scheduled into available veterinary capacity through our mobile clinic, partner clinic days, and Raytown-area facility, with proper anesthesia, monitoring, diagnostics, and follow-up. Every appointment is underwritten by donors, local businesses, and foundations — never by the City. More sponsors mean more Raytown families helped. Our largest sponsorship example is the $10,000-per-month Strategic Partner tier. One company does not have to carry it. It does not have to be exactly 50 businesses or exactly $200. Whatever the community raises, we scale care to match it and begin helping families. Every dollar becomes more appointments. Our mobile clinic allows Community Care to reach families without waiting for a permanent clinic build-out. We can work with local facilities that have usable veterinary space, bringing our veterinary team and program to existing exam or surgical rooms. We expect to open our own veterinary clinic at our Raytown-area campus in November once construction is complete.
