Marshmallow

When we first got the call to save Marshmallow, she had been brutally attacked by other dogs. Shortly after coming to A&F, she received a full day of care from our mobile veterinary team: entropion and hernia repairs, a spay, and bandage changes from her dog fight wounds. She’s been a trooper through it all and continues to heal beautifully with the support of our team (and stylish grey surgical onesie).

Each procedure was an important step towards getting Marshmallow as healthy as possible for her furever home:

Spay: Not only does this prevent future litters, but it also eliminates the risk and high cost of treating pyometra and lower the risk of certain cancers.|
Entropion repair: Corrects eyelids that roll inward, so lashes and skin stop rubbing against the eye. Left untreated, it can cause serious corneal damage and vision loss.
Hernia repair: Closes a weak spot in the abdominal wall, preventing tissue from pushing through and becoming trapped or damaged. This is a proactive measure that prevents health emergencies down the road.

Care like this is 100% fueled by your support. You’re helping us build a new way for rescues to do vet care. Thank you so much for being part of this movement.
