B1 Big Red Barn Modeled after our Little Red Barn, this facility transcends what is considered a shelter. The Big Red Barn’s open plan provides as much of a home-like environment as possible. Dogs aren’t stuck in cages all day long. They get to roam free, go in and out of the fenced in yards. They are living the life that they deserve to live right now.
B2 Big Red Barn Modeled after our Little Red Barn, this facility transcends what is considered a shelter. The Big Red Barn’s open plan provides as much of a home-like environment as possible. Dogs aren’t stuck in cages all day long. They get to roam free, go in and out of the fenced in yards. They are living the life that they deserve to live right now.
C Little Red Barn Our original location, this sweet red barn once started as nothing but a shell with a million dreams waiting to be born. The main floor of the barn is one big open room where senior pups spend the day lounging around on couches while they wait for their furever families to come along. The upper floor holds 4 suites that act as mini apartments for dogs who do not like other dogs. We strive to make every day special for the pups at the little red barn.
D Homestead Community Center
We will have a community room to accommodate the public. We offer education programs and training resources for staff and volunteers. We plan to have Sunday Senior Pancake Days where we invite Senior Citizens to come have pancakes with our senior dogs. We are appealing to the community in to be a part of something bigger than themselves.
E Vet Hospital/Clinic
Having our own Vet center is a game changer. Vet fees are astronomical, and we cannot put a price on a life, and we don’t. That is where we are different from other rescues. If there is a way to help them, not let them suffer, we’ll find it. If there is hope, we will cling to it. We pour our hearts and souls into making their lives the best quality as possible. We want to eventually open up the Vet Center to people who are struggling financially.
F Rehabilitation/Isolation Barn
In addition to our incredible Vet Hospital/Clinic, we are providing a state-of-the-art Isolation Barn. We will have enough staff and medical resources to provide isolation for the duration of any pathogen shedding. We won’t put others in any risk. We will also dedicate resources to rehabilitation to make their lives the best quality as possible.
G Little Puppies Barn
A barn dedicated to the next generation. We provide all the preventative services, necessary exams, vaccines and other routine tests to insure optimum health. While puppies have the highest adoption rate, we take our time to ensure we are placing the pups up for the best possible outcome. We work hard to match the personalities and lifestyles of the furever family.
H Feline Family Facility
With 3 separate buildings devoted to our feline family, we have enough space and resources to supply specialized care to our old, young and sick, with an additional dedicated kitten room. We provide every kittie with food, medical care, shelter and love while finding a suitable furever home.
I Residential w/ Single Car Garage
J Maintenance Building
This up-to-date space will include workshop and space to house equipment used on the upkeep of the Homestead.
K Trash Enclosure
This structure is a key component in keeping our animals healthy. Our Trash enclosure will have limited access to certain staff and will keep out unwanted animals and aid in recycling efforts.
L Miami County Shelter Barn
This optimally designed space will be allocated as our drop-off barn for pups and kitties brought in by local police and humane officers. This critical control point will provide the safest and calmest shelter for stressed animals. We have specialized staff that runs our intake procedures and evaluations to get the newcomers on their proper pathway from the start.
12 Dog Pool
The Homestead will offer a fenced in pool for staff attended hydrotherapy sessions with pups. Nearly 70% of the pups weight is removed in the water which is key for some of our residents with medical, neurological and weight issues.
11 Man Made Pond
