Help brighten the lives of senior citizens and patients in rehab facilities by bringing furry friends for a fun visit! During the week, volunteers bring A&F adoptable dogs or their own alumnis to spread love to the residents at senior homes around the city.
Thursday 4/18 at 3:00 pm, Colonial Oaks Spring Hill
Friday 4/26 at 2:00 pm, Colonial Oaks Leawood
Please arrive at the barn early enough to pick up a pup and drive to the facility. We often carpool to the Spring Hill facilities and meet up at the Leawood facility.
Most visits last about 30 minutes.

Adoption Event at Daffodil Days
Saturday April 20th from 11 am – 2 pm
Early Learning Center, Spring Hill
This will be our 3rd year attending this event! The whole city shows up to shop at vendors and bounce on inflatables. They usually set us up inside spread out down the main hallway between all the vendors. Please help bring an adoptable dog, either from the barns or your foster!
Adoption Event at 5K Dog Walk for Grace Iz Forever
Saturday April 27th, 9 – 11 am
Shawnee Mission Park, Shelters 1 & 2
We’ve been invited to be beneficiaries at this local fundraiser 5K in memory of Grace. Help bring adoptable dogs to bring smiles to people’s faces!
Adoption Event at Stone Pillar Vineyard & Winery
Saturday April 27th, 12 – 3 pm
Stone Pillar Winery, Olathe
This local winery is having a vendor event this day and asked if we could bring some adoptable dogs out! We have always wanted to go to wineries, so this is sure to be a fun first event that we will hopefully keep getting invited back to!
Poker Run for the Osawatomie Animal Shelter
Saturday April 27th, all day
Paola Eagle’s Lodge, Hillsdale Tavern, BB’s Spring Hill, Timbercreek Louisburg
We are hosting our first ever Poker Tournament! Participants will be traveling from location to location picking up poker cards. We would love help with having at least one person at each location and if you could bring an adoptable dog that would be even better! We will all convene at the Eagle’s Lodge afterwards for food and raffles, so extra help is needed there
WICHITA Women’s Fair
Friday April 26th – Sunday April 28th, all day
Wichita Century II Performing Arts Center
A&F is participating in our first huge Wichita event! We need all hands on deck manning our booth all weekend long. Bring alumni or adoptable dogs, or just come to help pass out flyers and sell merchandise!
Help bring adoptable dogs to one of our favorite events! Once a month during the summer, the vintage airplane hangar opens to invite vendors and visitors. There will also be vintage jeeps that we and the dogs can take rides in. Lunch is free for volunteers there.

We rescue pups from all over the country and always need more drivers to help pick up these poor pups from the kill shelters and help deliver them to the barn or a foster home, you get to be the first bit of A&F love these pups receive!
We need help everywhere, but mostly pull our animals from Wichita, Oklahoma City, rural Oklahoma, Eastern Kansas, Northern Arkansas, and St. Louis
