My name is Sara Mills. I currently help with vet transports and some longer transports for the barn's dogs. I also have adopted/fostered several dogs from the barn but we usually take hospice dogs in when they need a soft place to land. I grew up in Lee's Summit MO but made my way out to the Lawrence KS area in the early 2000s. I worked in law enforcement for 18 years before having to take a medical retirement due to a car accident. After David passed away, I started Legacy Pet Taxi as a way to both honor his memory and to help fill a giant void that he left. It also helped me fill a big void in my life where I was used to helping people for a living. Now I help people and dogs and I'll say it's a pretty good deal!
