Donor Privacy Policy

Effective September 27, 2026. This policy supplements our general Privacy Policy.

Always & Furever Midwest Animal Sanctuary Inc. ("Always & Furever," "we") respects the privacy of every person who supports our work. This policy explains what donor information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Information we collect

When you make a gift, we may collect your name, mailing address, email address, phone number, gift amount and date, payment method (never full card or bank account numbers, which are handled by our secure payment processor), employer for matching gifts, and any notes you include such as a tribute or memorial designation.

How we use it

• To process your gift and send you a tax receipt and thank-you.
• To keep accurate records as required by the IRS and by Kansas and Missouri law.
• To share updates about the animals you help and the ways you can stay involved. You can opt out at any time.
• To honor tribute, memorial, and recurring-gift instructions.

What we will never do

We do not sell, trade, rent, or share our donor list with any other organization or business. We do not send mailings on behalf of other organizations. The only third parties who see your information are the service providers who help us process gifts, send email, and maintain our records, and they may use it only to provide those services to us.

Anonymous giving

You may ask to be listed as "Anonymous" in any public recognition, or to receive no recognition at all. Tell us when you give, or email finance@alwaysandfurever.org.

Your choices

• Unsubscribe from email using the link in any message, or by emailing us.
• Ask to stop receiving mail or phone calls.
• Ask what information we hold about you, and request a correction or deletion (subject to records we must keep by law).
• Ask to be excluded from any published donor list.

Security

Online gifts are processed through a PCI-compliant payment processor over an encrypted connection. We limit access to donor records to staff and volunteers who need it to do their jobs.

Changes to this policy

If we update this policy, the new version and its effective date will be posted on this page.
